Ilocos board helps family of maid held in Singapore

VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur – The provincial government is donating R200,000 to the family of a Filipina maid, who was tagged as a suspect in the gruesome murder of her fellow Filipina domestic helper in Singapore, for legal and livelihood assistance, it was reported yesterday.

In its regular session, the members of the provincial board passed resolution No. 183, series of 2005, donating the amount to the family of Guen Garlejo Aguilar who is being detained in a Singapore jail.
